Summary: About the Book Modern electrical machines are redefining robotics, automation, aviation, interactive technology including Internet of Things (IoT), electric vehicles, agriculture, space technology, mining and other heavy industries. Generators and Motors are the fulcrum for the dynamic aspect of the digital world. In this context, “The Electrical Machines (A Comprehensive Way)” is an academic book about modern Electrical Machines. This is a unique attempt to provide all the necessary technicalities required to understand both A.C. Machines and D.C. Machines. It basically addresses the needs of Undergraduate & Postgraduate students, researchers, professionals and developers working on Electrical Machines including generators, motors, induction and synchronous motors. It is for those who interested in understanding the working principles, design & construction, drive operations and characteristics of A.C. Motors, D.C. Motors, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors, Special Machines like Stepper Motor, Brushless D.C. Motors and Switched reluctance motor. Detailed but effective mathematical deductions along with necessary illustrations are included for the easy understanding of the machines. Complex principles and mathematical derivations have been made simpler and elucidated in detail. Different types of motors, their speed control mechanisms and testing methods are also part of every chapter. The book also includes solved problems for the readers for references and experiential learning.
